• Location (State): The state you select for weather alerts (not precise GPS location)

Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility
• Usage Analytics: Anonymous usage patterns to improve the app (if you opt in)

• Precise GPS location
• Contacts from your phone

Data Storage

Local-First Architecture

Vamoose is built with a local-first architecture:

• Primary storage is on your device using Apple's SwiftData
• Your data works offline and remains accessible without internet
• Cloud sync (Firebase) is optional and used for backup and multi-device sync

Cloud Storage

If you create an account:

• Your data is synced to Google Firebase (Firestore)
• Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
• Firebase servers are located in the United States
• You can delete your cloud data at any time from Settings

Data Sharing

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal information
• Share your data with advertisers
• Share your data with data brokers
• Use your data for targeted advertising

We MAY share data:

• With Service Providers: Firebase (Google) for cloud storage and authentication
• For Legal Compliance: If required by law, subpoena, or legal process
• For Safety: If we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm
